Field of Screams sits just across the Ohio River in Brandenburg, turning one Kentucky farm into four haunted experiences for Southern Indiana visitors.
Southern Indiana visitors searching for a haunted house do not have to treat Kentucky like a distant trip. Field of Screams is in Brandenburg, directly across the Ohio River from Harrison County, with the Matthew E. Welsh Bridge connecting Brandenburg and Mauckport.
On the Kentucky side, an old farm becomes four different haunted environments: a six-acre haunted corn maze, the massive two-story haunted barn, the forbidden woods and Hayride 2 Hell. It is a regional Halloween destination for groups coming from Corydon, New Albany, Floyds Knobs, Jeffersonville, Clarksville, Sellersburg, Charlestown and communities farther west and north across Southern Indiana.
The river is a boundary on a map. It does not have to be a boundary on your October plans.
Closest to Harrison County
Harrison County has the most direct physical connection to Brandenburg. The Matthew E. Welsh Bridge links Mauckport with the Kentucky side of the river, making Field of Screams especially relevant for visitors from Corydon, Mauckport, Laconia, Elizabeth and Lanesville.
The final route depends on where you begin, road conditions and your navigation service. Set directions to 132 Darnall Ave before leaving. Mobile signal can get thin near the farm, and Field of Screams is one mile past the Otter Creek Park entrance. Do not turn into the park.
Our dedicated Corydon and Harrison County guide gives that side of the river a more detailed plan once it is published.

A full haunted night for Floyd and Clark counties
For visitors from New Albany, Floyds Knobs, Georgetown, Jeffersonville, Clarksville, Sellersburg and Charlestown, Field of Screams offers a different kind of Halloween night than a single city building.
The farm setting creates scale. You move into six acres of corn, indoors through the barn, outdoors beneath the trees and onto a wagon route across the property. The attraction is not trying to make four rooms feel like four places. They are four places.
That makes the drive useful for date nights, friend groups and people who want an October outing that feels like leaving the Louisville metro area behind without turning it into an overnight trip.
Read the New Albany, Jeffersonville and Clarksville guide for a plan built around the Louisville-metro side of Southern Indiana.
Crawford, Washington and Perry county visitors
Field of Screams also belongs in the search for a Southern Indiana haunted attraction from Crawford, Washington and Perry counties. Visitors from English, Marengo, Milltown, Salem and Tell City already know that regional nights out often cross county lines. The question is whether the destination gives the group enough to do when they arrive.
The Main Event at Field of Screams combines three environments. The Combo Ticket adds the hayride. That allows a group to plan around a whole property rather than drive for one short walkthrough.
Visitors in Orange, Scott and Spencer counties can use the same planning approach: check the map from your actual starting point, choose the ticket before leaving and treat the current Directions page as the final route source.
The regional guide for Crawford, Washington and Perry counties adds more group-planning detail once published.

What is waiting across the river?
A massive two-story haunted barn
The barn is the most enclosed part of the night. Rooms, corners and two stories take away the long view you had outside.
The forbidden woods
The woods change the rules. There are no walls to tell you where the sound ends, only a path and the treeline around it.
A six-acre haunted corn maze
The maze is cut into a different aerial design every year. The full design archive spans 2002 through 2026. From inside the corn after dark, the art becomes an obstacle.
Hayride 2 Hell
The haunted hayride carries your group through fog-covered terrain and multiple staged locations across the farm. It is available on its own or as part of the Combo Ticket.

Is Field of Screams in Indiana?
No. Field of Screams is in Brandenburg, Kentucky. It is included in a Southern Indiana search because the farm is close to the river and directly connected with Mauckport through the Matthew E. Welsh Bridge. Clear geography matters: Indiana visitors should know they are crossing into Kentucky, and Louisville visitors should know they are leaving the city for Brandenburg.
That state-line trip is part of the atmosphere, but the address should never be hidden behind a “near me” phrase.
Cross into a different kind of night
Southern Indiana is not an edge market for Field of Screams. It is part of the neighborhood around the farm. The bridge, river and county line only make the trip feel more like a Halloween road trip.
Come for the barn. Keep going through the woods and corn. Climb onto the wagon if the group still agrees that crossing the river was a good idea.
Compare ticket options and save directions to the farm before leaving Indiana.
